Innovation + Skills Development Framework

Innovate KPI works with the following innovation and skills development framework. From initial industry skills needs research, national occupational skills standards and curriculum integration, teacher capacity building mentor provision and training delivery, certification and integrated quality assurance, The Skills framework is structured to provide a cost effective and scalable model.

Step 1

Skills Policy and Strategy Development Support

Establish the aims and priorities of innovation and skills initiatives for industry sectors. Support the development of technical and vocational skills policies and strategies which set out aims, strands of work, outputs, evaluation, research needs and forms part of an integrated skills framework.

Step 2

Skills Mapping

Major employer skills needs/ labour market information, technology succession planning, innovation searches and insight used to identify employer skills priorities and inform the development of programmes and role of expert providers.

Step 3

National Occupational Skills Standards Development

Working with nation-specific occupational skills standards, create major employer partnerships with specific industry sectors and skills and education providers. Identify new innovation and skills development pathways incorporating international benchmarking.

Step 4

Curriculum and Qualifications Development

Using extensive experience in writing and developing world-class technical and vocational curriculum and qualifications directly linked to national skills and workplace standards. Enhancing staff capacity and capability in writing and delivering high quality curriculum and qualifications.

Step 5

Accreditation and Quality Assurance

Develop quality assurance systems and procedures. Supporting the accreditation of training providers against nationally agreed standards to build and maintain quality provision and add value to the training for employers and learners. Accreditation can be licensed to internationally recognised bodies or offered through national systems.

Step 6

Training Provision and Mentoring Support

Establish a network of training providers to deliver quality training in line with public or private sector need and the national skills strategy. The provider network could be shaped to become part of a skills development framework enabling the service user to access training provision simply and effectively.

Step 7

Trainer Training

In-country course delivery, developing and delivering masterclasses for existing and new technical and vocational trainers. Programmes to build capacity within the competence assessment framework.

Step 8

Assessment, Certification and Knowledge Exchange

Offering an all-encompassing Awarding Organisation certification or recognition capability. Provide a single point of access as either an Awarding Body or through strategic relationships with a range of high profile and internationally recognised Awarding Organisations. Hosting and delivery of National and International TVET skills events to exchange knowledge and share best practice.
